5. Status - services  View services (= WMS): > 500  Download services: – WFS < 10 – Atom ?? – File: Geonorge + Many institutions have download solutions  Inspire conformant services ( Annex 1 ): – No official services. Much is being done within Elf-project

6. National Geoportal  Ongoing project for improvement  Metadata catalog, registers, tools.. http://www.geonorge.no

Challenges  Need to maintain excisting national services/deliveries  Many thematic data live in systems – Serving different purposes (reporting….) – Can not change easily  Alternatives: – Treat Inspire as a separate delivery (data for Europa) Most is voidable anyway – Incorporate Strategies: subclassing, extending..

8. Challenges - software  We prefer to have a standardised software platform – ArcGIS, FME – Reluctant to use separate software for Inspire – even if its free  WFS: Serving complex models – don’t know how to do this

9. Protected sites  System: Naturbase  View: WMS, ArcGis Rest  Download: SOSI, FileGDB  Inspire – still testing: – WFS using arcGIS for Inspire 10.3 not been able to get it work – GML using FME Needs validation
