4 New Jersey Motorists Must: Title and Register vehicle before legally driving on roads. >Title-Proof of ownership Must: Always have registration available. New State Residents: required to title & register each vehicle within 60 days of moving into NJ or 60 days before of out of state document expire.

It also pays for a lawyer to defend you if you are sued for damages that you cause) A NJ insurance ID card will be provided for each vehicle insured under a policy.
