The circumcision of Christ

The teaching of the natural man and the spiritual man is not a new doctrine. The new, spiritual or inner man is a concept accepted by the church. Why then is it so difficult to understand and accept that there is a distinction between Jesus and Jesus Christ? The first after the flesh and the latter after the Spirit.

Many people before Jesus were filled at times with the Holy Spirit, but none were born from the Spirit. Not once have we heard of a new creature, a new man, until Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the alfa of the new creature and he is the omega of sin. He is the beginning of the new things and he is the end of the old things. He is the first in the kingdom of God and he is the last offering. At the baptism of Jesus there was a birth of a new specie, heavenly man.

1. Born again

Joh 3:3-6

again G509 ano ̄ then from above, from a higher place, of things which come from heaven or God, from the first, from the beginning, from the very first, anew, over again

Joh 3:3-6 born again Back to the state of the first, Adam and Eve Back to God’s own image and likeness Back to the state as one ought to be – Righteousness

If there are two births, there are two beings. Jesus is clear that the one being is flesh, born from flesh and the other being is spirit, born from the Spirit.

Mat 1:17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, from David until the captivity in Babylon are fourteen generations, and from the captivity in Babylon until the Christ are fourteen generations.

Mat 1:11 Josiah begot Jeconiah and his brothers about the time they were carried away to Babylon.

Mat 1:12-16 And after they were brought to Babylon, Jeconiah begot 1 Shealtiel, and Shealtiel begot 2 Zerubbabel. Zerubbabel begot 3 Abiud, Abiud begot 4 Eliakim, and Eliakim begot 5 Azor. Azor begot 6 Zadok, Zadok begot 7 Achim, and Achim begot 8 Eliud. Eliud begot 9 Eleazar, Eleazar begot 10 Matthan, and Matthan begot 11 Jacob. And Jacob begot 12 Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born 13 Jesus

Mat 1:12-16 And after they were brought to Babylon, Jeconiah begot 1 Shealtiel, and Shealtiel begot 2 Zerubbabel. Zerubbabel begot 3 Abiud, Abiud begot 4 Eliakim, and Eliakim begot 5 Azor. Azor begot 6 Zadok, Zadok begot 7 Achim, and Achim begot 8 Eliud. Eliud begot 9 Eleazar, Eleazar begot 10 Matthan, and Matthan begot 11 Jacob. And Jacob begot 12 Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born 13 Jesus who is called 14 Christ.

Every person born is an Adam. Adam is the start of a specie, man. Jesus was an Adam and he was the first second Adam. Jesus was born from flesh and he was the first to be born from the Spirit. We discern between the natural and the spiritual. We discern between Jesus and Jesus Christ.

2. Natural and Spiritual

Col 2:11-14

Heb 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit (14), and of joints and marrow (13), and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (13 vs 14).

1Cor 15:44-54 Rom 8:5-10

1Cor 15:44-54 Rom 8:5-10 Gal 6:7-9 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

3. The Seed

Rom 9:6-13

Gal 3:16 Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, "And to seeds," as of many, but as of one, "And to your Seed," who is Christ.

Gen 1:6-8 Then God said, "Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters H4325 mayim water; figuratively juice; urine, semen (SEED)

Gen 1:6-8 Then God said, "Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters." 7 Thus God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day.

1Co 15:47-48 The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. 48 As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly.

2Co 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Joh 6:38 For I (the Seed) have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

Joh 6:38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. Joh 6:42 And they said, "Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How is it then that He says, 'I have come down from heaven'?"

Joh 6:38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. Joh 6:42 And they said, "Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How is it then that He says, 'I have come down from heaven'?" 2Co 5:16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer.

Eph 4:22-24 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

Col 3:9-10 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him

Back to the state of the first, Adam and Eve Back to God’s own image and likeness Back to the state as one ought to be – Righteousness

Joh 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” Mat 7:13-14 & 21

4. The high priest and the offering

Heb 10:1-22

Lev 16

2Co 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Joh 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

2Co 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. Joh 1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! 1Jn 2:12 I write to you, little children, Because your sins are forgiven you for His name's sake.

5. The son of perdition

Joh 17:12 “While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.”

G684 apo ̄ leia ruin or loss (physical, spiritual or eternal): - damnable (-nation), destruction, die, perdition, X perish, pernicious ways, waste.

Mat 12:32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.

1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Mat 27:3 – 4 “Then Judas, His betrayer, seeing that He had been condemned, was remorseful and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.””

2 Thess 2:1-6
