Training Resources All training resources are provided by WIDA through a secure web portal located at: http://www.wida.us/ACCESSTraining/index.aspx http://www.wida.us/ACCESSTraining/index.aspx There are two different types of accounts. Test Administrators & Test Coordinators
41
Training Resources- Test Coordinators Test Coordinator Accounts approved and monitored by SEA Account provides Test Coordinator with access to the training course and checklist Allows Test Coordinator to view and monitor training progress and modify user account permissions for Test Administrators users in their district
42
Training Resources- Test Administrator Are approved and monitored by district’s Test Coordinator Provide Test Administrators with access to the training course and checklist
43
Training Course Components The four assessment training components
44
Accessing the Training Course Log into WIDA website “My Account & Secure Portal” page On this page, you can Navigate to the various training course components Update and edit personal account information Access training personal training records Access and monitor training records of staff (only Test Coordinator)

Test Materials Logistics
54
Tier Identification for Writing Test Grades 1-3 DRC will use the total number of Grades 1-3 counts provided in WIDA AMS (Pre-ID file) to determine how many Writing
55
Writing Booklets DRC will automatically include 10% overage of the Writing test booklets in the shipment
56
Remember… Student performance on the Listening & Reading tests will determine the appropriate tier that the student will take in the Writing and Speaking tests.
57
Writing Booklets For ordering purposes, DRC will use a calculated ratio to determine the number of Tier A and Tier B/C forms to provide at each grade cluster (Grade 1 & Grade 2-3) Once student as completed Listening & Reading tests, Test Coordinators will run a Writing Tier Report
58
Writing Booklets 1-3 Test Coordinators should check they have enough Writing Booklets for Grades 1-3 If materials are needed, Test Coordinators may order additional materials ordering through WIDA AMS
59
Pre-ID Labels Writing Grades 1-3 Remember the state provided Pre-ID file to DRC, based on what students were identified in Infinite Campus Labels contain the name, grade, and other pertinent information related to the student, as well as school and district information
60
As Needed: Writing Grades 4- 12 Grades 4-12 the writing default response mode is keyboarding Under special circumstances all Grades 4-12, if needed, have the option of handwriting their responses, ( mainly first year in country students)
61
As Needed: Writing Grades 4- 12 DRC will provide a small quantity of Writing Response booklets for Grades 4-12 Only to be used for instances where students may need to handwrite instead of keyboard their response
62

70
Ordering Additional Materials
71
Scheduling & Testing Environment Logistics
72
Student Data & Test Sessions on WIDA AMS If student is missing from WIDA AMS, the Test Administrator adds student into the system Students are automatically placed into generic test sessions based on grade cluster and domain Test sessions can be edited or deleted, if desired WIDA AMS is used to create, edit, and add students to test sessions
73
Student Test Tickets Test Ticket contain a unique login credentials Student must use test ticket to access and begin the test Test Tickets for a given test session are part of the Student Test Roster
74
Sample Student Test Ticket
75
Student Test Roster Summarizes test session information such as the test name, test session name, and the district and school Provides a list of students who are registered to participate in that test session as well as accommodations that may be assigned
76
Sample Student Test Roster
77
Test Scheduling For online- as long as students are taking the same domain, it is possible to combine students from different grade clusters and tiers into the same test session
78
Both students in Grades 2-3 and Grades 4-5 could be scheduled to take the Listening test in one session Test Scheduling
79
Speaking Tier Pre-A test and the Writing 1, and 2-3 are an exception to the guidelines described Test Scheduling
80
Administration of the Grades 1-3 Writing test must be separated into test sessions by both grade cluster and tier Test Scheduling
81
Test sessions for Grades 1-3 Writing cannot be combined with Writing test sessions for Grades 4-5,6-8, and 9-12 Test Scheduling
82
Students taking Speaking Tier Pre-A test should also be administered the Speaking test separately from students taking the Tier A and Tier B/C Speaking Tests
83
Test Scheduling Test domains should not be combined into one test session Example: the Listening test should be administered in a different test session than the Reading, Writing, or Speaking test
84
Test Scheduling Number of students scheduled in a test session Listening & Reading Writing- fewer students Speaking- smaller groups
85
Something to Consider Students with very limited English proficiency may benefit from being tested in smaller groups, regardless of the domain
86
Timing for Each Test
