18.  The Lancaster-Philadelphia Turnpike was built in 1795. Later in the revolution, when cars were being built, this turnpike became extremely popular.

20. Robert Fulton- American engineer who developed the first commercially successful steamboat. His most famous model was called the Clermont.

22.  Helped business and the economy  Reduced shipping times between the east and the west.  Made things cheaper to ship.  Encouraged the development of towns and businesses.  Made many new forms of transportation more popular
