Introduction Illinois Department of Transportation Division of Transportation Safety (Law Enforcement) Bureau of Safety Data and Data Services Division of Highways (County Engineers) Bureau of Safety Engineering Bureau of Local Roads and Streets Division of Finance and Administration Bureau of Information Processing Federal Highway Administration Community of Interest is a community of people who share a common interest or passion.

Objective Goal: To provide a single environment where Tools, Knowledge, Data, and Training interconnect providing better collaboration and comprehension in order to realize safety improvement measures in support of ”Driving Zero Fatalities to a Reality” Objectives: 1.Develop site to house specific tools, data and training to facilitate gaining knowledge to improve safety statewide. 2.Develop Community of Interest (COI) in order to facilitate communication among safety focused personnel.

Background SAFETY Community of Interest Requirements Each new Spiral re-uses the previous spiral functionality and integrates with it the new requirements producing a spiral that is wider with more functionality for the end-user.
