7. Reading books If anyone would like to come into school to listen to children read please let me know. Books are changed on a Tuesday and Wednesday.

8. KS1 SATs Year 2 Sats Taken in the summer term. New Curriculum. SPaG, Reading and Maths 2 maths papers : 1 in arithmetic (25 questions) and 1 in reasoning (31 questions) -reading and mental maths.

12. SATS As you are aware, year 2 children will be sitting Standard Assessment Tests in May 2015 and with this in mind I will plan in opportunities for all children to do some practice tests. This will (hopefully) familiarize the children with the format and expectations of the tests.

15. Bug Club Your children will be allocated new books on bug club. This is a fantastic tool for reading. If you require your child’s password just ask.
