1 Identify the Major Powers of the Legislature.

2  Compare the term of a Senator to a House member.  Why is the senate considered a constant body?  What would the major problem with having a Representative make decisions based on being a delegate?  Name at least five informal qualifications for membership in congress and explain how those qualifications might affect a candidate’s vote- getting abilities.

3  Primary function is to create laws  Electoral Duties- House chooses president and Senate chooses V.P. if no majority  25 th Presidential Line of Succession- V.President passes, the President chooses a new V.P with Congress’s Approval  Majority V. Quorum  Constitutional Amendments  Congress can propose with 2/3 Vote  Call a National Convention, 2/3 state Legislature  Impeachment  House- Impeach-draw up charges  Senate- Hold trial
