4 Prepare + Prevent + Respond + Recover + Mitigate Emergency Coordination GOHSEP is the coordinating agency for state agencies in the planning for, response to & recovery from emergencies During an emergency GOHSEP activates the State EOC to manage the response & recovery utilizing the Louisiana Unified Command System

5 Prepare + Prevent + Respond + Recover + Mitigate Unified Command “Unified Command is a team effort which allows all agencies with responsibility for an incident, either geographical or functional, to establish a common set of incident objectives and strategies. This is accomplished without losing or abdicating Agency authority, responsibility, or accountability.”
