World Wide Web vs. Internet Is the World Wide Web and the Internet the same thing? No. People sometimes use the World Wide Web and the Internet as synonyms but they are two different things. Think of it like this: The Internet is the container and the World Wide Web is its contents. Basically, the Internet is all the computers of the world connected and the World Wide Web is all of the videos, sites, information, entertainment, ect. that we put on there.
