Summary First experience with AAAS-like event for ESOF central organizers ESOF session and exhibition organizers (us) ESOF participants our combination of session + press briefing + exhibition was nice could have been better exploited with better attendance (participants, VIPs, public) preparation needs very much work still, 2004 showed that ESOF concept works in principle especially well received by journalists many things to improve for ESOF2006 in Munich need more politicians and policy makers need more public, teachers, students need free access to exhibitions and some lectures reduced conference fee for full participation need less sessions /actvities in parallel proposals to be submitted already in spring/summer 05!
