1 What the heck are loose sentences??? Color me clueless…

2 Loose Sentence! A type of sentence in which the main idea (independent clause) comes first, followed by ONE OR MORE dependent grammatical units such as phrases or clauses Quite frankly that’s not that clear, I could use an example…

3 A few examples at Calvin’s request! Just remember: Independent clause + 1 or more dependent

8 Bryce picked up a garbage can, Main clause, can stand on its own. Please note that in loose sentences the main clause will always come first.
