3. All rights reserved, property and © CAD Computer GmbH & Co.KG 2009 Activate MSERV 1 First of all the MSERV Option must be available and active. Click Configuration, MCPS settings to get this window. Activate this option, close MCPS, restart it again and then the MSERV-Option is available.

4. All rights reserved, property and © CAD Computer GmbH & Co.KG 2009 Activate MSERV 2 Click Configuration, MCPS settings again. Now the register card MSERV is available. Type in here the ip- address(es) or the hostname(s) of the DAQ- PC(s) Select if the PC should try to connect to the PC(s) or not. For detailed information see “E_MCPS_MCPSSetting s.ppt”

There are two possibilities to see online data from other PC’s: 1) The other PC has got the MSERV-Option and you have a NetView License 2) The other PC has got the MSERV-Option and you have the MSERV-Option too.

To get data, click Project, Open from DA-Server… to get this mask. Here you see all running projects on the connected DAQ-PC Select a project you want to see the data and then click Load.

8. All rights reserved, property and © CAD Computer GmbH & Co.KG 2009 Online connect 2),a Now you have not a NetView-PC but a PC with MCPS and MSERV-Option too. And maybe some other options like drivers and so on. The procedure is the same: Add the other PC which is collecting the data you want to see to the list “Remote MSERV Computers” (Configuration, MCPS settings, register card MSERV.) Click Project, Open from DA Server… and select the desired project. Now you are able to see the online data in the trend, numeric, solo and/or bargraph window.

9. All rights reserved, property and © CAD Computer GmbH & Co.KG 2009 Offline connect 1 Remember: The MSERV-Option is ONLY to see ONLINE-Data which is collected by another MCPS- DAQ-PC !!! To see the Offline-Data or to make statistical calculations about the data collected up to this point of time, it is necessary to get other access to the DAQ-PC. Requirement: Make sure, that the Directory where the project is stored on the DAQ-PC is released.

(Project, Open and now select the released Directory on the measurement PC) Now you can do all offline actions with the offline data: Statistical calculation Data Export Numerical and graphical display. (If you make some changes in the project configuration like rescaling or change display color of a channel, it is possible to save the project local on your PC. This confiscates that the original project on the DAQ-PC is not changed. The option Save local is offered the first time you make changes to the project configuration. When you open the project again, MCPS will remember that there is a local configuration and ask you which configuration you want to load: The local or the original configuration.)
