TOM TORLAKSON State Superintendent of Public Instruction SBE Approval to API Changes The SBE approved the PSAA Advisory Committee recommendations: Suspension of the API (no report calculated or posted for the 2015-16 school year Next state accountability report no earlier than Fall 2016 No single index – multiple measures moving forward 8

TOM TORLAKSON State Superintendent of Public Instruction ED Letter to States Re: Accountability Pause ED letter not consistent with January decision by SBE to not report AYP targets on assessment results SBE confirmed their decisions in January to report targets met on participation rates, graduation rates and attendance rates Assessment data to be reported on DataQuest, but proposal would not make target determinations on assessment results 10

TOM TORLAKSON State Superintendent of Public Instruction 2014-15 Assessment Results Individual Student Results – paper copies mailed to parents 8 weeks after the last school tested District Reports – secure online results within 4 weeks after the last school tested DataQuest Public Reports – end of August or September after all districts have completed testing 11
