9 PREP Exercise Statistics Sprague Energy Corp volunteered to be responsible party Scenario: discharge of 6,000 barrels (252,000 U.S. gallons) of liquid asphalt into the Piscataqua River (currents of 6 kts) Response involved: federal, state, local, industry, and academia (UNH) -total of 82 participants Initial response included: deployment of boom and skimmers utilizing high current booming strategies
