2 Scenario: Imagine…. You live in a family of 4 with one older brother. You have lived in Atlanta and attended Wesleyan your entire life. Suddenly, your Dad gets a new job with Apple and moves your family ALL THE WAY to Boston. They’re committed to keeping both you and your brother in private school, and have their eye on two schools: 1) Jordan Academy: The most prestigious boarding school in Connecticut. 2) Cannon School: A day school (sort of like Wesleyan) close by

4 Here’s the Dilemma: Even though you’ve both been accepted at Jordan, your parents can only afford to send one child there. They let your older brother decide, but then…. He gives you the option. You have the choice. It’s up to you. Which school do you pick?

5 Your School Visit You decide: Jordan Academy Most prestigious boarding school in Connecticut. You’ll go to any college you want and get any job you want after college You’re set for life and you’ll never worry about $$$$ again. Big workload Teachers really demanding A lot of students cheat, lie, and do anything to get ahead You’re convinced that you can avoid this culture Cannon School A pretty good private school. Great drama, chorus, and athletic programs You may not get into your college of choice, and you may struggle finding a job for years after college Teachers kind and supportive You feel a pretty strong connection you can’t put your finger on
