Variables Dependent Variable- depends on the value of another variable Changes in response to another variable Also known as “output” Independent Variable- also known as the “input” The variable that causes the dependent variable to change.

Geometric Relationship Describe the relationship. Draw a table Write an equation Draw a graph

Functions Relationship that pairs each input value with exactly one output value. A linear function is a function whose graph is a nonvertical line or part of a nonvertical line.

Representing a Linear Function This table shows the relationship between the number of photos taken and the amount of memory left on the camera. If the output increases or decreases by the same amount each time, it is a linear function. (add/subtract the same amount)
