Issues and challenges Additional requirements imposed to the proponent which are not in the guidelines, e.g. Interim Financial Statement/ materials quaotations, affidavits etc., which prolong the evaluation. This resulted to various cancellation/back-out of the proponents for VFP-PO financing assistance (Venzons Manufacturing, Ark Precision and F.G. Avendano Machineries) that has a specific timeframe needs to be processed on a short period of time if not, will result to an expired/invalidate submitted POs. Opportunity to promote/ introduce the VFP (Regular/ P.O.) specifically in the Regional activities.

Issues and challenges Harmonize guidelines between TAPI and SETUP should be finalized to delineate the assistance coverage. Identify alternative person who will orient the proponent for the salient provisions of the MOA for the approved projects under VFP for implementation aside from Legal Officer e.g. FAD Chief/ Division Chief of IBOD.

Venture Financing Program Strategies to achieve targets Prioritize RDIs’ commerciable technologies including their perspective adoptors for possible beneficiaries. Collaborate with DOST ROs for clients under VFP’s PO Financing Facility. Simplify the evaluation process and the program requirements for compliance of proponent. Collaborate with PhilExport and PCCI for potential clients. Coordinate with CAMPI for potential clients.
