LEARNER ORIENTED n Teaching isn't what the teacher does n Teaching is: causing the student to learn. –This is your responsibility. –You are a servant: focus on them. »Nervous? »Getting attention. n How to determine if you've taught?

EXPECTATION ORIENTED n Expect alot out of them, believe in them. n Exercise Faith, get a vision! n Express that belief! Don't rail.

APPLICATION ORIENTED n Explanation without application is an abortion of the truth. –Only a means towards application. n Application defined: the use of the knowledge in a practical way. –else, it’s spiritual pride. n What is your audience going to leave the room convinced of?

RETENTION ORIENTED n Distill your material to an irreducible minimum. –what ONE sentence describes your teaching? n Use numbers, divisions. n Use Agitation Slogans. n Simple charts, illustrations.

NEED ORIENTED n If it didn't meet your audience's needs, it was a failure! –Don’t impress. Affect. –Teach the people, don't Teach the teaching. –Listen to what others have to say in HC n What is the need they think they have?

EQUIPPING ORIENTED nEnEnEnEquipping means get ready for WORK. nWnWnWnWhat takes place after the meeting? nBnBnBnBear observable FRUIT.

Revival oriented nDnDnDnDid you CHANGE? nSnSnSnSin, salvation, etc: the great spiritual truths.

HOW TO DEVELOP A BURDEN n Focus first on your own life –How has understanding and following this truth changed your life? –How did you learn this truth? –What happened when you refused to follow it? n Focus on a few individuals in your audience –How are they lacking now because they don't know or follow it?
