[2] 3D Micromanufacturing Lab. What is an Incubator In biology, an incubator is a device used to grow and maintain microbiological cultures or cell cultures. It maintains optimal temperature, humidity and other conditions such as the carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) and oxygen content of the atmosphere inside.temperature, humiditycarbon dioxideoxygen The most commonly used setting used for storing MCF-7 and MDAMB231 cells in an incubator are 37 °C and CO 2 level of 5%.
