2. Lobe Pump Overview
Lobe pumps are used in a variety of industries such as pulp and paper, chemical, food, beverage, etc…

3. How Lobe Pumps Work – Step 1
Initially, the lobes create an expand in volume on the inlet side of the pump
Liquid flows into the cavity and is trapped by the lobes as they rotate

Liquid travels around the interior casing (between the lobes and the casing)
It does not pass between the lobes

Finally, the lobes forces the liquid under pressure through the outlet
