Definition The seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is considered the disorder in which the person mental health stays perfect throughout the year but, in the summer and winter, they suffer from a change in their mental state.

Causes The Cause remains unknown, but is likely that your mental health, genetics, age and body could play an important role on the developing of this disorder Some factors that could come into the obtaining of the disorder are: The biological clock Serotin levels (brain chemical that affects mood) Melatonin levels (hormone)

Sings and Symptoms Difficulty in waking up in the morning Morning sickness Tendency to oversleep Lack of energy Difficulty of concentration Depression Anxiety Amnesia Withdrawal Decrease sex drive

Treatments Light Therapy: Sit in front of an specialized box which imitates outdoor lights. Psychotherapy: Treatment in which the patience goes to a psychotherapist in order to change their negative mood into a more positive and productive. Medications
