Inequality Signs < means “is less than” means “is less than or equal to” > means “is greater than” means ”is greater than or equal to” Reading Inequalities 1. 3 < n < 9 n is greater than 3 but less than 9. 2. 4 n < 7 n is greater than or equal to 4 but less than 7. 3. -2 n 1 n is greater than or equal to -2 but less than or equal to 1. 6 Always point to the smaller amount !
