Youth in Action supports providing competencies for young people contributes to the Lisbon strategy builds on the previous youth programmes supports the political process for youth related co-operation

Youth in Action overall age range of 13 to 30 years operates from February 2007 to November 2013 works through 5 Actions agreed baseline budget of 885M euros for seven years

Youth in Action ACTION 3 Youth in the World –with Partner Countries –exchanges of young people, youth workers and organisation links –neighbouring countries –others

Youth in Action ACTION 5 European co-operation –Structured dialogue between policymakers and organisations –Seminars on key issues –Development of networks –Relationships with international bodies (Council of Europe; United Nations etc)
