Implementation Economic Analysis in Elpen System Petra Jaegersberg & Martin van der Beek
2
Working Steps n Implementation of the FADN model (Excel Sheet) into the Elpen System n Solved problems to link the model to the FADN database, together with Frans Godeschalk n We started testing the results
3
Difference between original model and Elpen version n Original version calculates with individual data of only specialized dairy farms (60 percent share of dairy output) and for presentation of results data is aggregated to regional averages. n Elpen version calculates on all model farms, using the Elpen Farm System classification.
4
Advantages of implementation in Elpen System n Model becomes an integrated analysis step in the Elpen Calculation Structure n The results use the Elpen Farm System classification and can be linked to environmental and (maybe) social indicators/analysis n Results of the analysis can easily be mapped and presented in a dynacube
5
Examples n Production Costs can be mapped with the Elpen System n A Period, Elpen Farm System and regional level need to be selected n We can select a denominator, to calculate the variable per farm, LU, UAA or 100 kg milk
6
Maps: Total cots of milk production and Cash Costs n Choosen selection: n Farmtype = Specialist dairying n Elp_Generaltype = Grazing_LiveSock n Elp_Productiontype, Elp_LiveStocktype, Elp_LandUsetype, Elp_Inputtype, Elp_Structuraltype = Total n Period = 1197_1998 n Territory level = Harm 1
7
Total costs of Milk production Euro per 100 kg Milk
