Warm-Up: Take out your I Am poem and number each line.
In your spiral notebook, write what a FANBOY is. Copy your HW.

Warm-Up day 2: Take out your RD#2 with 5 coordinating conjunctions. Partner swap. With RED pencil BOX the FANBOY. With a GREEN pencil underline EACH independent clause.

Warm-Up HONORS: Open up your google doc. Partner swap. Find the 5 different coordinating conjunctions.. Highlight in RED the CC; highlight in YELLOW each independent clause; highlight in GREEN the comma. Identify the 4 literary devices.

HONORorable Work: Identify the alliteration and underline the repetitive sounds. Identify the metaphor. What is being personified? Is the onomatopoeia used as an ACTION verb, not as a stand alone word?

I was so tired, for the baby was up crying all night.
I want to go to the party, and I want to go to the movies. I do not like ketchup, nor do I like mustard. I really want to go , but I didn’t finish my homework. He said I could go tonight ,or I could go tomorrow night. He thought he was right, yet he was sooo wrong. I didn’t study, so I am sure I will bomb the test.

When combining two independent clauses, place a comma BEFORE the conjunction
