Waitress : Are you ready for your entrées? Guest : Yes, please. (a few minutes later⋯) Waitress : The medium steak is for the gentleman. Guest : Yes, that’s right. Waitress :Here you go, sir. Be careful. The plate is really hot. Guest :Oh, wow. It looks juicy and mouthwatering. A A B B C C

6 Ch14 Services During the Meal Waitress : Thank you. And who ordered the cheese burger? Guest : My daughter did. Waitress :OK. Here is your burger, and here’s some ketchup and mustard for the fries. And the Iceland codfish is for…? Guest : Oh, that’s for my boy. And what about my wife’s cheese & pasta gratin? Is it ready yet? Waitress :No, sorry. It takes a bit longer to bake the dish, but, I think, it should be done in about five minutes. Guest :All right. Waitress : Is there anything else I can get you? A A B B C C

Waitress : Thank you. I’ll tell the chef. And would you like a refill, by the way? Guest : Oh, yeah. That’ll be great. Waitress : No problem.
