4. 11 January 2016 Journal #1 Based on the research you have done in the library, write a brief summary explaining the importance of your pre-assigned literary period. Include information about the key ideas, works, and authors of the time period.

5. 12 January 2016 Journal #2  What is the difference between a descriptive essay and an argumentative essay? Why is it important to provide evidence when writing an essay? 6. 13 January 2016 Journal #3  Define sermon (use your phone for a literal definition of this literary form.  Then, look at the various translations of Deuteronomy 32:35. In 3-5 sentences, explain what you think this quote means and how you think the Puritans would have reacted to it.
