3. FIGURINE OF A YOUNG GIRL, PERHAPS A DANCING GIRL, FROM MOHENJO-DARO, HARRAPAN CULTURE, C.2300-1750B.C. This is the most impressive sculpture found in this civilization. It is in Copper. Height- 14 cms National Museum, New Delhi

4. It is in nude A unique sculpture in a dancing pose The jewellery is done very realistically. The necklace in the neck and one arm full of bangles. The pose is relaxed. The body is curved with one arm resting on the waist and the other holds a small bowel against her left leg.

5. Her negroid features identify her as one of the Dasas as described in the Rig-Vedas. It is important to note that so far this is the only single major sculpture of this civilization found which is made of metal. This leads us to understand that a civilization almost 5000 years old was advanced in a manner to make sculpture by melting and casting bronze. Till date this is considered a very significant sculpture of this civilization.
