AGG - Alerting GW Group AGG Mission Statement  Draft requirements for interfacing to alerting systems recommended by the AIG.  Recommend methods by which alerts received from target systems are processed and formatted for distribution over CMS systems.  Draft recommendations to address possible unique interfaces associated with different CMS technologies and service providers.  Identify and make recommendations on any other requirements concerning communications or transactions between CMS alerting platforms and external alerting systems and agencies or specific data required for fulfillment of the group’s primary mission.

AGG - Alerting GW Group AGG Participation AGG members include: –Verizon Wireless (Group Leader) –CTIA (Deputy Group Leader) –ATIS –Cingular –DHS –Intrado –Motorola –Sprint Nextel –Syniverse –TIA –VeriSign

AGG - Alerting GW Group AGG Progress Since Last Update  Network architecture and functional reference model  Maintained proposed requirement that Alerting Gateway function, along with Alert Aggregation, should be the responsibility of a government entity. Best positioned to implement security/trust model  Confirmed general agreement with PMG and CTG requirements on Network reference architecture Working assumptions Alerts definition and attributes Text profile and audio profile  Initiated AGG Work Product  Outline of AG requirements and working assumptions  Initial draft conclusions of interfaces to alerting authorities (Reference Point B)  Initial draft conclusions of interfaces to the carriers’ networks (Reference Point C)  Defined Service Provider profile scenarios  Defined draft conclusions for Security requirements (TIA/Cingular)  Identified additional deliverables  Alerting Gateway capacity, throughput, redundancy requirements  Protocols, formats, and mapping requirements  Service Provider profiles and OAM requirements  Reporting and Logging requirements

AGG - Alerting GW Group AGG additional deliverables  The Alerting GW capacity, throughput, redundancy requirement Alert volume estimation Need the file size estimation and file formats requirements from both AIG and CTG  Carrier service profiles and OAM requirements Carrier service profile requirements from CTG Carrier opt-in and partial opt-in requirements from CTG Carrier OAM requirements  Reporting/logging requirements AIG requirements on government reporting/logging requirements CTG requirements on carriers’ trouble shooting and reporting requirements

AGG - Alerting GW Group AGG additional deliverables  Support protocols, file formats and parameters mapping for text profile from the input to the output protocols Protocol specification from CTG on the protocols to be supported by Wireless Svc Provider’s Gateway Sample input and output messages for  Presidential alerts  AMBER Alerts  Other Alerts under each category  Test messages  Support protocols, file formats and parameters mapping for audio, video and multi-media profiles from the input to the output protocols File formats to be used by AIG File formats to be supported by Wireless Svc Provider’s Gateway Sample input and output messages for  Presidential alerts  AMBER Alerts  Other Alerts under each category  Test messages
