14 14 Gordon Barber March 14, 2003 Recommendation NRIC VI-1D-01 The DR/MA Focus Group 1-D recommends that the NRIC VI Council approve Disaster Recovery and Mutual Aid Best Practices to be implemented, as appropriate, by the Cable, CLECs, Equipment Manufacturers, IECs, ILECs, Satellite, Wireless, and Industry Services and Consulting entities in order to promote Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Recovery throughout the United States during and following events causing the disruption of communications services.

15 15 Gordon Barber March 14, 2003 Recommendation NRIC VI-1D-02 F The federal government should support an outreach program to expand awareness and use of NCS priority services including Telecommunication Service Priority (TSP), Government Emergency Telecommunications Service (GETS), Wireless Priority Service (WPS), Shared Resources HF Radio Network (SHARES) and Telecommunications Electric Priority (TESP), by State and Local Organizations, including Public Safety entities, as well as applicable private sector organizations.
