3 Directions  Open your class notebook to the next available page.  Label the page with the date and the title ‘NOUNS’  Set up for Cornell Notes and under main idea, write the essential questions: What are nouns? How do I make nouns plural?  Take notes on the details side. Write key terms on the main idea side. When you get to the practice exercises, write answers on the details side.

4 Nouns  A common noun names any person, place, thing, or idea. A proper noun names a particular person, place, thing, or idea.

5 Singular Nouns  A singular noun names one person, place, thing, or idea.

6 Plural Nouns  A plural form of a noun names more than one. It usually ends with s or es.

7 Write P if the noun below is plural. Write S if the noun below is singular. 1. houses 2. baby 3. church 4. tables 5. books 6. bus ANSWERS
