BOEING BACKGROUND 1881: William E Boeing was born in Detroit, Michigan 1910: He buys Heath’s shipyard in Seattle, which will later become his first airplane factory 1916: He begins final assembly of the B & W seaplane in his Lake Union boathouse 1955: Pan American World airways orders 20 Boeing Model 707 jet transports 1978 :Boeing begins production of the 767 1978: Boeing begins production of the 757 1997: The fist Next-Generation Boeing 737 a 737- 700 makes it first flight 2005: The new higher capacity, longer range 737-900er, following an order for up to 60 of the airplanes from Lion Air

AIRBUS BACKGROUND In 1960 : Airbus was founded in Europe In 1974 : A300 with twin-engine wide body jet starting service In 1980 : A310 with a shorter fuselage and later came the single-aisle A320 In 1990 : Start long range A330 / A340 Jet Liner Family

AIRBUS BACKGROUND 2007 : Airline travel with 525 seat A380 began services 2006-2009 : A350 XWB as its new medium-capacity long-range aircraft family began service 2009-2010 : Airbus look forward to be the Industry Leader 2011 : Confirm the industry leader 2012 : Continuously developing A350XWB to achieve the higher production goals
