Music Statistics It is statistically proven that students taking courses in music performance and music appreciation have scored higher on the SAT than students with no arts participation. Band Camp Band Camp usually begins the second to last week of July. Rehearsals are from 9:00-5:00pm with a 1 hour lunch from 12:00 to 1:00.

What to Bring to Band Camp? Water Jug? (With only water in it) Sun screen, sunglasses and hat Comfortable athletic type clothes. (No Jeans) Tennis shoes only!!! No flip flops or cowboy boots! Instrument (pencil, music, reeds, valve oil, etc..) Most importantly - A GOOD ATTITUDE!

Summer Preparation All students need a physical before they march. Students should exercise and eat healthy over summer break.(Drink plenty of water) Students should practice and memorize their scales and exercises. Students should memorize and learn their music for the marching show. Students should practice their marching at home outside of rehearsal.
