4. Who provides the information? Look at the beginning and end of the website to find information about the person, company, or organization that published the website. Are they reliable? Try to infer the purpose of the site. Is it biased (tells only one side)? Don’t trust biased sites. Anything with “Wiki” or “Blog” in the title is suspicious because others are invited to add or change content.

5. How to search Be specific so you will get more specific information back Abraham Lincoln instead of Lincoln Enter a single word to find sites that contain that word. Enter more than one word to find sites that contain any of these words, together or individually. Abraham Lincoln will find sites containing Abraham Lincoln, Abraham, and Lincoln Use quotation marks to find sites containing that exact phrase. “Abraham Lincoln” will only find sites containing those exact words. Use Boolean words (and, or, not) to narrow your search.
