History Halloween is one of the most important dates in American and Canadian holiday calendar. Halloween means the union of the living world and the kingdom of the dead.

Legends and Customs of Halloween
It is said that on Halloween night, the door between the world of the living from beyond opened and the spirits of the deceased made a procession in towns where they lived.

On that night the spirits visit the houses of their families, and to the spirits not disturb the villagers THEY put a candle in the window of the house. If there is a candle in memory of each spirit, THEY do not bother THEIR families, but if it isn’t, their families would suffer from terrible nightmares.

Trick or Treat Originally trick or treating was a popular legend according to which not only the spirits of the dead were free to visit the Earth on Halloween night, but all kinds of entities from all spiritual realms. nowadays villagers go from house to house asking for "trick or treating".

The legend says that it was better to treatment, regardless of the cost that it had therefore not agree with this spirit (that would be called Jack O'Lantern, known with the traditional Halloween pumpkins) he would use their powers to "trick" that would curse the house and its inhabitants, giving all kinds of misfortunes and curses as family sick, kill livestock to pests or to burn the house itself.

Presents Children receive little presents, usually chocolates, when they ring the bell of villagers as they go “ trick or treat ”.

In Europe many cities where young people have decided to import the way in which the United States sees Halloween celebrating with parties and costumes. Although in some places, such as England, the original party has taken root again.
