3 Key Aspects o All participants should be informed and consented o Sit in front of the camera or adjust camera accordingly o Pay full attention during the televideo appointment  Turn your cell phone to silent mode  Avoid chit-chat during the appointment o Listen carefully o Note facial expressions and gestures o Mute microphone while not speaking

4 Verbal Communication o Start with small talk for few minutes o Avoid shouting or raising your voice o Avoid misunderstandings by spending more time explaining educational and treatment issues o Summarize regularly to prevent misunderstandings o Let the other end know if you don’t understand what they are saying o Involve the other clinicians or family at the patient’s end if unclear
