BIOS After taking care of family elders for a period of time, Valary decided to investigate whether this might be an option to make a career out of managing assisted living homes. With the assistance of contacts she had made in the industry, she started Manor House Independent Living Services (IDLS). Valary came to love the work - personally enriching the lives of our baby-boomers and keeping them independent.

HISTORY Company established in 2007. Originally a single Independent Living Home Grown into 13 homes and a 36-bed assisted living complex that opened in July. Current residents number between 25-30.

PRODUCTS The product that we are marketing is assistance in setting up an Independent Living home. We are offering to share our experience and assist you through the startup process. We offer a fee-based product that will set you up and give you the tools to succeed in establishing your new business.

SERVICE Our fee-based system has services that include: Company startup Setting up the location o Renting and furnishing the location Hiring staff Training staff Through its established relationships with health care facilities, placement of residents into the home Establishing relationships with pharmacies Assistance in the licensing process Maintenance of records

Other Services We make arrangements for your appointments with Practitioners such as MDs, psychiatric therapist, podiatrist, optometry, Home Care, Physical and Occupational Therapy. Many of these services may be available in the home. Will offer transportation of residents for a fee. An Adult day program is also available to help keep your staffing costs low.

FEES Fees are individually based depending on the amount of assistance you require for startup and the amount of maintenance support you require. An example would be a basic structure that includes startup but not human resource support and the proprietor maintains their own records. This would be a flat fee at startup. An alternative would be a proprietor who wanted to use MHIDLS staff for direct care workers and/or records maintenance. This would be an initial payment with monthly fees for workers and records. This is setup as a turn-key operation in which you may appreciate the return of initial capital investment as early as 90 days.
