Leonardo was born April 5, 1452 & died May 2, 1519. Leonardo didn’t attend a public school. He joined Studio af Andrea del Verrocchio in Florence at the age of 15. Leonardo studied philosophy, natural history, anatomy, biology, medicine, optics, acoustics, science, mathematics, and hydraulics.

Leonardo was the one who painted pictures such as “Annunication” in 1473, “Adoration of the Magi” in 1481, a picture of an angel in Verrocchios baptism of Christ in 1475, The “Mona Lisa” in 1503 which took 6 years and he drew a self portrait in 1515. He also painted the first parachute, helicopter,aero plane,tank,repeating rifle, swinging bridge, paddle boat and motor car.

He drew the first relaxed portraits with a misty looking landscape. He used warm and passionate colors to create the misty effect. He had a different way of painting using mixed colors and he never put eyebrows on his paintings. He changed the way people painted and made sculptures. He was famous for the way he used light. It made it look like you could see the soul in the painting.
