5. Pension Fund of the Russian Federation The individual accounts system was created in 1996. It includes information on pension rights of 120 mln. Russian citizens. The information is kept on individual accounts. Every individual account has social security number (SNILS). During one reporting period employers provide individual information on 91 mln. employees. Since 2011 the reporting has been presented quarterly. 99,1 % of information is being presented in digital form, 50,8% of them with digital signature is transferred through secured communications channel. The accuracy of information input is being supervised automatically.

Pension Fund of the Russian Federation Social Security Number (SNILS) as a Federal identifier Federal legal and regulatory framework currently in force; Permanent Social Security Number during a person’s life; The maintenance and control system of SNILS is available throughout the country; Current interinstitutional exchange of data on pension provision, social insurance and social protection Significant individual database for last 15 years is available through SNILS.

7. PFR clients: Russian citizens inland and living abroad Number of persons 40,5 млн. чел. Beneficiaries of cash payments and others social benefits 22,9 mln.
