Main Character #1 Lacey Farrell: Lacey is a young women in her mid 20’s who is a strong independent person, and I’ve noticed the person she admires most would be her father. Lacey is also a successful real estate agent working in New York. The person I believe would play Lacey well is Emma Samms as she played Lacey in the original movie and I believe she performed well.

This is Emma Samms

Main Character #2 Curtis Caldwell/murderer of Isabelle Waring. He is a sandy haired male with icy blue eyes, who is in his mid to late 30’s. Caldwell is a successful businessman who moved to New York from Texas and is now searching for a duplex. I believe that John Schneider would play this part exceptionally well because he fits the description of this character with blue eyes and sandy hair.

Plot Lacey witnesses the murder of Isabelle Waring and fears that the murderer of Miss Waring will come after her and murder her too, because of this worry Lacey is placed in a witness protection program. Still gets threats of death and is worried the killer will find her.

Type of book Mary Higgins Clark wrote this book in 1 st person style. This novel is a crime thriller, and a very suspenseful piece of literature. This novel is suspenseful because while Lacey finally gets to talk to her family she accidentally gives up her hiding spot in which the killer finds her and Lacey must piece together the puzzle before the killer hunts her down.

Descriptive Sentences “His icy blue eyes were cold and emotionless.” Lacey says this describing the killers eyes. “its about time” Lacey said to Rick Parker as he delivered a mug of black coffee to her desk…. This is used to describe Lacey’s anxiety and her awareness of her surroundings. “I felt the chill like an ice cube rolled down my spine”… Lacey is referring to the thought of the killer and him searching for her. “Some of us are born New Yorkers” she would explain to sometimes apprehensive wives of executives being transferred to Manhattan… Lacey is describing how proud she is of being born and raised in New York.
