1. A Walk in the Woods

2. We’re going on a trip…  Close your eyes and imagine…  It’s the end of the day here at Haltom High School. The final bell rings, and you decide to start walking in the opposite direction of your home. You walk for a long, long time. The sun begins to slowly seep down toward the horizon. After walking for many, many miles, you find yourself in an unknown wooded area. You stand at the edge of the woods and find that your curiosity about what lies within the woods drives your forward. So, you enter the woods…

3. In the woods… # 1  You meet up with another person who begins to walk with you on your journey.  Who is this person? Give a brief description of who this person is and what your relationship is to him/her.

4. While walking… # 2  You see an animal. What kind of animal is it? #3  What interaction takes place between you and the animal?

5. You walk deeper into the woods… #4  You enter a clearing in the woods and before you is your Dream House. Describe its size. #5  Is your dream house surrounded by a fence?

6. You walk into the house… #6  You happen upon the dining area and see the dining table.  Describe what you see on AND around the table.

7. You exit the house through the back door… #7  Lying in the grass in the backyard is a cup. What material is the cup made of? #8  What do you do with the cup?

8. You walk to the edge of the property where… #9  You find yourself standing at the edge of a body of water. What type of body of water is it? #10  How will you cross the water in order to find your way home?

9. Congratulations, Explorer!  You are finished!  Let’s see what your creative journey says about your life and personality!

10. 1.) The person you are walking with is the most important person in your life.

11. 2.)The size of the animal represents how YOU see the size of your problems.

12. Did you run toward the animal, run away, avoid it, etc.? 3.) The interaction you have with the animal represents how you deal with your problems.

13. 4.) The size of your dream house represents the size of your ambition to resolve your problems.

14. 5.) No fence represents an open personality. People are welcome at all times. The presence of a fence represents a closed personality. You'd prefer people not to drop by unannounced.

15. 6.) If your answer did not include food, people, or flowers, then you are generally unhappy.

16. 7.) The durability of the material of the cup represents the perceived durability of your relationship with the person named in # 1. For example, Styrofoam, plastic, and paper are all disposable, Styrofoam, paper and glass are not durable, and metal and plastic are durable.

17. 8. Your interaction with the cup is representative of your attitude towards the person in number 1.  Did you ignore the cup, throw it in the trash, or recycle it?  Did you pick it up and take it inside to wash it and put it away?

18. 9.) The size of the body of water is representative of the size of your desire for love.

19. 10.) How wet you get in crossing the water represents the importance of your love life.
