Agricultural Engineering Tools and Materials used in Agriculture

Turning Tools Used to turn nuts, bolts, or screws 1. Adjustable wrench – turns various size nuts and bolts 2. Phillips screwdriver – turns Phillips head screws. 3. Pipe wrench – used to turn and hold pipe

4. Regular socket – general-purpose socket for turning nuts and bolts 5. Slotted screw driver – used to turn slotted screws.

Cutting Tools Used to cut, chop, saw, or otherwise remove material

1. Bolt tap – used to cut inside threads in order to repair damaged threads on a nut. 2. Cold chisel – used for cutting metal. 3. Cutting torch – used for cutting metal with heat. 4. Hacksaw – used for sawing metal 5. Portable circular saw- used for sawing wood in construction projects
