In the video there is a person who is completely transparent meaning you can see the background straight through him and the process used for this is called green screening. With green screening you are recorded in front of a green background then the background is cropped out on the computer once you are finished capturing your footage. The technique that allows us to see straight through the person in the video is called patching, this just basically allows you to see another footage or image while your footage is in motion. 3. Film title sequence In this whole video the motion graphics used was the shapes that were used to create characters or even patterns. Another bit of the video there is a video playing in the background while an animation is also being played which is called Rotoscoping. In the images involved they all have different filters when introducing the characters which I think are there so it is easier to identify.

4. TV advert The idea & effects of the car transforming to a robot was originally from the movie transformers. This was done by using motion capture which is a process of when you are recording people or objects movements. Motion capture can also be called motion tracking. So basically the person or object is in motion you will also have a computerized view, which you will eventually turn into a animate digital character

5. TV show graphics In this video they use quite a bit of motion graphics, starting of with when it fades from a space background through clouds. The beginning of the trailer is filled with still images but they change at a very fast speed and gets closer and while this is playing there is a timescale at the bottom. The name of this show is big bang theory so they put a lot of historical pictures to show where the world started from. The text involved all have effects to come in a certain way and when the names pop up they also use another technique called freeze frame. Freeze frame is when the whole frame pauses for a valid reason e.g. To be introduced.

6. Second TV show graphics Reason why I chose to do another video on TV show is because I didn't get to show all the motion graphics I wanted to. In this video they use effects on the text and even change the colour of it which is apart of motion graphics. There are animated graphics from the start to the end of this video e.g. At 11 seconds in the video hearts fly above a girls head to show she has a crush on the character. With this video the characters, texts, background etc. Are all in different layers and this technique is called compositing. 14 seconds in the video shows a great example of green screening, the reason i can tell is because there is a slight glow around the character showing from when they cropped the green screen out.

7. Internet banner graphic A Web banner is a animated advert that plays for 10 to 15 seconds usually at the top of the website This is a banner I took a screen shot of from YouTube but banners are very common in websites because it is basically another way to advertise your product which is very smart because nowadays everyone uses the internet.

8. Computer game This video basically just shows the graphics used in the game such as the menu you are given to choose what weapon you want. To get this menu you just hold the top arrow on the controller. When choose a weapon whatever one you choose will be brighter than the rest if the weapons on the menu as you can see 2 seconds in the video. Another part motion graphics is when the characters aim it zooms in so its like it turns to a 1 st person shooter but only for when you are aiming.
