3
Definition: It is an instrument for measuring atmospheric pressure. It is used especially by meteorologists in weather forecasting.

THE BAROMETER Importance: All weather happens in the atmosphere. Barometers are important because they identify changes in the atmosphere, including changes in air pressure that affect the weather.

TYPES OF AIR PRESSURE
7
There are 2 types of Air Pressure:
8
LOW PRESSURE Low pressure usually means it will be cloudy, rainy, or windy. Low pressure means no force, or pressure, to push the clouds and storms away.
9
HIGH PRESSURE High pressure areas usually create sunny and clear skies. The higher pressure in the atmosphere pushes all the clouds away.
