What you need to apply to College A valid and appropriate email account The DSSS school number – 909673 Your social insurance number Your OEN (found on your status sheet) Your complete home mailing address (including your postal code) Payment format (credit card strongly recommended) - $95 to apply (5 program choices; maximum of 3 at one school) Program choices you are applying to in ranked order (program names and program codes)

6. Application Dates (2014-2015) College: Oct. – Feb. 1 (equal consideration deadline) Apply early

7. Offers (of Admission) Earliest offers – Feb. 1 st (must confirm through www.ontariocollege.ca)www.ontariocollege.ca May 1 st – deadline to confirm acceptance Check email (even SPAM folder)

8. How will I know if I am accepted to College or University? OCAS online will show your acceptance status. Check your file regularly for updates. Colleges will mail you a letter stating that a conditional acceptance is offered.

9. What does ‘Conditional’ mean? You still need to complete all OSSD requirements and graduate You still need to successfully complete Your average grade must stay the same or increase! (even a drop of 1% could result in your offer being withdrawn) You must pass all prerequisite subjects that are required for your program You must successfully pass any required auditions or submit a Profile Questionnaire etc. as required You must meet minimum English Language Proficiency requirement (if applicable)

10. Keep Organized Create a filing system so each college has a separate file Keep ALL correspondence from that college choice as you may need it later (supplementary applications, residence applications, etc)
