DAMAGED RECORDS “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!” Establish a disaster prevention/recovery plan BEFORE a disaster occurs. Once a disaster occurs, the agency should consult with a qualified records restoration company to determine the extent of the damage and restoration costs. Do you have additional copies at another location? All requests must be presented to the State Records Committee.
