Addressed Questions Q.1 How to activate school councils? Participation of students from Grade 5, how to involve the community : – Action plans should be made from head of the institution and involve the community members. – School council members should be only those members whose children are studying in that school.

– Political involvement should be finished, incentive should be placed to be involved in the school and there should be election – There should be a team that lookafter the process of election of the school council Re-vamping of the school council – School council should include rural and urban centers, both should contain different rules. – retired government employees should be included – Fund should be utilized properly

Official role & scope of public-private partnerships in public sector administrative and financing system – Private sector should be involve in school council members. – Proportionate selection – Private Sector should only be restricted to monitoring and implementation by the public sector Overall governance should be done by other agencies as well, only deptt of education cannot do it alone.

Q.2 How to include ICTs for monitoring? – Technology is important to include in learning, monitoring and accountability – Teacher should be able to use technology and change the mindset of teachers, level of urban and rural mindsets should be taken in mind – Technology does not mean only computer but also A.V aids etc. – For account matters and other matters software should be linked with accounts officer, departments, and head office and cheating should also be looked as an alert to all offices – For monitoring system, audit should be reported accordingly.

Q.3 How to improve life skills based education? – Mostly the teacher resist due to the pre-conceived notions – Life skills based education definition, moral values should be given such as do not lie, do not steal, do not murder – Life skills based education should be a part of every subject and have a practical hand. – Arts and sciences should be given equal percentage – Moral values should be included, behavior aptitude and attitude – Teachers should be given their true status and given recognition
