Professional Climate in Participating Schools A majority of Coaches report that: The staff is encouraged to listen to new ideas The school has provided many professional development opportunities

Implementation A large majority of Coaches found the PLN regional training courses useful A large majority of Coaches found the Foundations trainings useful Slightly over ½ of Coaches report that: They were provided a clear description of the Coach’s role in this initiative The staff has been receptive to the PA High School Coaching Initiative

Life of a Coach A large majority of Coaches report daily or weekly involvement in the following activities: Providing a listening ear for teachers’ concerns Locating and creating classroom resources Planning lessons with teachers Communicating PLN pedagogy to staff not enrolled in the courses 40-60% of Coaches report never engaging in the following activities: Facilitating inter-class visitations Leading study groups Training teachers how to analyze student data An overwhelming majority of Coaches feel that Other Coaches are the most useful support to them. They also found teachers and Foundations Mentors to be useful supports
