4  What do you think would happen to us if there were no plants in the world?  We would starve to death. All food chains begin with a producer so even the carnivores ultimately rely on plants

5 AActually, all food chains start with the sun because that is where plants get their energy from

6  Make a food chain that has at least 4 members  Don’t forget that all food chains start with a producer  Label the members of your food chain as: -producer -1 st order consumer - 2 nd order consumer - 3 rd order consumer

7 TThe organisms at the top are usually your big predators. SSuch as, a bear, a shark, an eagle

8  That’s right, humans are!  There aren’t too many things that eat a human

9 SSometimes a food chain only consists of 2 organisms LLike a human eating an apple

10  A series of overlapping food chains  Looks confusing!  Start with a plant and follow the arrows
